UAB Umaras has implemented the project “UAB UMARAS INNOVATIVE PRODUCTION BASE DEVELOPMENT” (No. VP2-2.1-ŪM-06-K-02-027).
More than EUR 4.5 million has been allocated for this project in 2007–2013, in accordance with the EU structural assistance strategy of Lithuania for 2007–2013 and the “Invest LT-2” measure of the Economic Growth Operational Programme. The project started in May 2014 and ended on 30 September 2015.
During the implementation of the project, the company acquired several items of modern technological equipment: a flexographic printing machine, 7-layer barrier film production line and a 3-layer film production line.
This project completed the modernisation phase of the company’s production equipment, which was one of the actions required for increasing the company’s competitiveness.
Such investments in modern technologies will create the preconditions for the further growth of the company’s competitiveness in both the Lithuanian and foreign markets.
The continuity of this project is tied to the development of new products within a more technologically advanced production base.
