We are investing in the latest technologies that provide us with the opportunity to produce the highest quality products and meet the market needs by starting to create a new generation of products. The Umaras investments are aimed at continuous development, with technological and innovative mechanisms. Continuous investments ensure that we gain a larger market share and increase our production capacity by 10-20%.
By understanding the importance of competition, exports and expansion into new markets, we always strive to be one step ahead of our competitors. Our development is important not only for the growth of our region, but also for the growth of the country as a whole.
OUR EMPLOYEES
At the time of its establishment, the company had 3 employees; while today, the company employs 203 people. Each of them is well aware of the important contribution they are making to the growth of the company and their opportunity to grow along with it. Rapid economic development, growth of competition and the modernisation of technology are raising the standards for both the company and its employees.
The company employs young, enterprising and ambitious specialists in various fields. Our employees boldly offer their ideas in innovative projects, remain involved in the development processes and help to achieve our high set of objectives. We encourage our employees to further deepen their knowledge and improve in their field, while valuing their dedication and loyalty to the company.
In order to have the best employees, UAB Umaras maintains a good relationship with Lithuanian universities by participating in events organised by the Career Centres, as well as by carrying out vocational training, professional development programmes and human resources development measures.


QUALITY
The company pays a great deal of attention to the quality of its products. On 2 June 2011, the company’s quality management system was certified and it currently meets the requirements of the quality management – LST EN ISO 9001, environmental management – LST EN ISO 14001 and the good manufacturing practice – LST EN 15593 standards.
In 2018, the company was certified according to the global food safety standard BRC Global Standard for Packaging and Packaging Materials, while in 2021 it received the AA rating.
Quality control:
ISO 9001:2015 certification – is an internationally recognized standard that defines the requirements for an organization’s Quality Management System (QMS). Its purpose is to help organizations ensure consistent product and service quality, meet customer expectations, and continuously improve their processes.

BRC Certification (British Retail Consortium) – is a global standard for ensuring food safety and quality. It was originally developed in the United Kingdom, but is now recognized and applied worldwide, especially across the food industry supply chain.
Key aspects of BRC certification:
- Ensures that food products are safe for consumption and comply with established safety standards.
- Organizations holding BRC certification must implement an effective QMS that ensures continuous improvement in product quality.
- Covers supply chain management aspects, ensuring that all suppliers and processes meet safety and quality requirements.
- Organizations are required to undergo regular audits to verify compliance with BRC standards and obtain independent certification.
- Holding a BRC certificate boosts customer confidence by demonstrating adherence to the highest food safety and quality standards.
BRC certification is particularly important for suppliers wishing to work with large retailers and food industry companies, as it ensures their products meet both safety and quality requirements.
HALAL Certification – ensures that the ingredients and materials used in the production of polyethylene film comply with Islamic requirements. This includes strict control to prevent the presence of alcohol, pork, or other prohibited substances.
Halal certification is especially important in the food, cosmetics, and pharmaceutical industries, particularly for Muslim consumers.
Products packaged in Halal-certified polyethylene film give consumers confidence that the packaging meets both ecological and religious standards.
Food Contact Material Certificates – These documents confirm that materials used in packaging, containers, utensils, or other items that come into direct contact with food comply with established safety and hygiene standards. These certifications ensure that materials do not contaminate food products and are safe for consumers.
Such certificates are essential for ensuring consumer safety and confidence, enabling manufacturers to expand their market reach and comply with legal requirements. Manufacturers often provide these certificates to clients as proof of their products’ safety and quality.
