Film for trench silos

Silage film is designed to cover silage trenches, pits, and other silage storage areas in order to limit oxygen exposure and protect feed from moisture and other external factors.

Properly selected silage film helps preserve feed quality, reduce losses, and create the right conditions for an efficient silage-making process.

Silage Film Production

This is an extremely strong and durable film used for storing feed in silos. Its primary function is to protect the silage from moisture, oxygen, and other environmental factors that can negatively affect the quality and nutritional value of the feed.

What is silage film made of?

Silage film is most commonly made from multilayer polyethylene (PE) films, which are highly resistant to tension, tearing, and UV rays. Thanks to its airtight structure, it ensures anaerobic conditions inside the silo, promoting the activity of lactic acid bacteria and improving feed preservation.

Which silage wrap should you choose?

The thickness and properties of silage wrap may vary depending on the size of the silo, the type of feed, and climatic conditions. A proper silage-making process, using high-quality silage film, helps reduce feed losses and ensures that livestock are provided with high-quality feed. We’ll advise you on which option is best for your situation.
