Vytautas Samsonas established the Umaras company. Its activity was the sale of raw materials for polyethylene films.
Umaras expanded its business and began the production of polyethylene films and bags.
The company started processing a by-product of the production process; as a result, raw materials started being purchased and processed.
Umaras offered a new product to the market – a film with a press.
The company’s production technologies were further expanded and the production of laminated films began.
The product range continued to expanded, as the company started the production of a barrier film.
In response to the customer needs, Umaras started the production of polyethylene products in which part of the raw materials were obtained from renewable natural sources.
Umaras started using “green” electricity from renewable natural sources.
The production of vacuum bags for the food industry began.
Milda Samsonaitė, the daughter of Vytautas Samsonas, took over the management of the company.
Recycled raw materials were introduced in the company’s production that were comparable to primary raw materials in terms of their quality.
