The Finnish company „Ab Rani Plast Oy“ has acquired the Lithuanian packaging film manufacturer UAB „Umaras“.

The two successful family-run businesses have joined forces to offer their customers a wider range of products and better meet their needs. This acquisition strengthens the companies’ market and geographic positions. Following the completion of the transaction, „Rani Plast“ Sales Director Dennis Granqvist will replace former Umaras owner Milda Samsonaitė as CEO. „Rani Plast“ CEO Stefan Kaptens views this transaction as an excellent way to expand the business and build new global partnerships in line with the company’s long-term strategy. „I hope we can continue to develop the „Umaras“ business and invest in this facility. The integration process with our main plant in Terjarve will begin shortly.”

Milda Samsonaitė, former CEO and shareholder of „Umaras”, believes that „Rani Plast” is an excellent fit for „Umaras” employees, customers, and the local community. „Over the past 30 years, „Umaras“ has become one of the leading manufacturers of flexible packaging materials in the Baltic states. Based in Terjarve, Finland, „Rani Plast Oy“ is part of the family-owned „Rani Group“ and one of the leading suppliers of sustainable packaging solutions in the Nordic region. The company’s products are exported to more than 50 countries. „Rani Group“ employs approximately 500 people, operates seven factories across four countries, and has a turnover of 200 million euros.
