The Finnish company \u201eAb Rani Plast Oy\u201c has acquired the Lithuanian packaging film<\/a> manufacturer UAB \u201eUmaras\u201c.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The two successful family-run businesses have joined forces to offer their customers a wider range of products and better meet their needs. This acquisition strengthens the companies\u2019 market and geographic positions. Following the completion of the transaction, \u201eRani Plast\u201c Sales Director Dennis Granqvist will replace former Umaras owner Milda Samsonait\u0117 as CEO. \u201eRani Plast\u201c CEO Stefan Kaptens views this transaction as an excellent way to expand the business and build new global partnerships in line with the company\u2019s long-term strategy. \u201eI hope we can continue to develop the \u201eUmaras\u201c business and invest in this facility. The integration process with our main plant in Terjarve will begin shortly.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Milda Samsonait\u0117, former CEO and shareholder of \u201eUmaras\u201d, believes that \u201eRani Plast\u201d is an excellent fit for \u201eUmaras\u201d employees, customers, and the local community. \u201eOver the past 30 years, \u201eUmaras\u201c has become one of the leading manufacturers of flexible packaging materials in the Baltic states. I am delighted to be able to hand over this successful business to a company like \u201eRani Plast\u201c, which has a long-standing tradition of producing high-quality packaging materials and strong values. I believe this change will be beneficial for \u201eUmaras\u201c employees, customers, and the Utena community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Based in Terjarve, Finland, \u201eRani Plast Oy\u201c is part of the family-owned \u201eRani Group\u201c and one of the leading suppliers of sustainable packaging solutions in the Nordic region.
